Capt. Kirk Called Up

According to Adam Rubin of ESPN New York, the Mets have called up Kirk Nieuwenhuis to replace Andres Torres, who was placed on the DL yesterday. Nieuwenhuis went 0-2 in his Triple-A debut yesterday.
