Baseball America released their annual top 100 prospects list yesterday, and it included three Mets.Zacl Wheelr was the highest-ranked Met coming in at number 11. Travis d’Arnaud was ranked 21st and Noah Syndergaard 54th. Wheeler was fifth among right-handed pitchers, while d’Arnaud was second among catchers.

This list was surprising, at least when it comes to the Mets prospects. Once you get to the top 25, you’re basically just splitting hairs, but in almost every list I’ve seen, Wheeler and d’Arnaud have been in the top ten. MLB.com’s top 100 has d’Arnaud sixth, Wheeler eighth, and Syndergaard 29th.

Jurickson Profar and Dylan Bundy were number one and number two respectivaly on both the MLB.com and Baseball America lists.

I'm a 17 year-old blogger, high school student, and lifelong Mets fan. I've been blogging about the Mets in some form or another for about four years. I embrace the new age, sabermetric way of thinking, but also recognize the importance of scouting and player devlopment.
