Mets To Call Up Six Players From Buffalo

  • Sharebar

With the Triple-A season ending for the Buffalo Bisons this afternoon, the Mets will call up six more players to join the team before tomorrow’s game in St. Louis. Those players will be Jeurys Familia, Jenrry Mejia, Elvin Ramirez, Jordany Valdespin, Fred Lewis, and Justin Hampson. The Mets have already taken advantage of the rosters expanding, calling up Zach Lutz, Mike Nickeas, and Collin McHugh this week.

According to Mike Kerwick of the Bergen Record, Matt Harvey will make just two more starts this season. That could open the door for either Jeurys Familia or Jenrry Mejia to get a few starts later this month. Both of them also should get some experience in the bullpen, where they both may eventually end up in the future.
