I'm a 16 year-old blogger, high school student, and lifelong Mets fan. I've been blogging about the Mets in some form or another for about four years. I embrace the new age, sabermetric way of thinking, but also recognize the importance of scouting and player devlopment.

Dude, so sorry for not listing your site in my MB comment, feel really guilty. Now that I am here for the first time in a little while, I love the new banner and Shea background image, looks really tight.

That is really a great old picture of Shea. I think it was in ’87, buses were still parking right behind the scoreboard like you see in the picture but in the ’80s there was a fence around the base of the board and just dirt all around. The Mets were playing the Reds (was at the game) and Strawberry hits this HR (one of those shots where the crowed cant even cheer you here a collective UGH) and it goes just left of the scoreboard and lands on a roof or a bus and the sound echoed into the stadium and the crowd went bizonkers.
