Outfielder Andres Torres left the Mets-Braves game today with a strained calf. After the game, Andres told reporters that he will be heading to the disabled list and will head down to Port St. Lucie.
This was the same injury that caused Torres to miss two or so weeks during the spring. It is still unclear who will be called up (or signed) to replace Torres.
Andres was acquired this past offseason along with Ramon Ramirez in exchange for Angel Pagan. Torres had a .221/.312/.330 slash line last season with the Giants.
