About Connor O'Brien
I'm a 17 year-old blogger, high school student, and lifelong Mets fan. I've been blogging about the Mets in some form or another for about four years. I embrace the new age, sabermetric way of thinking, but also recognize the importance of scouting and player devlopment.

  1. Ike Davis  diagnosed with Valley Fever!!! This can be a serious condition…Let’s hope for Ike’s sake first and for the Mets who cannot afford to lose Ike for any meaningful time, that he recovers swiftly!!!!

    • The odds say that this won’t affect him much if at all. I think it was mentioned by him that somewhere around 40% of people in Arizona get it in their lifetime and most don’t even know it. Conor Jackson, a former D-Backs first baseman, had it a few years ago and it limited him to 30 games that season. That was an extreme case. Nobody is even completely sure he has it yet. The blood test for it came back negative. We’ll have to wait and see if he even has it.
