Introduction: Top 12 prospects for 2012 list

  • Sharebar

It’s that time of year again. It’s as cold as ever in the northeast, and everyone is hunkering down until Spring Training brings a faint glimpse of hope that yes, it actually may get warmer.

My top prospect list this year will be a little different from others. I am no minor league expert. I am using video, as well as multiple scouting reports from names I trust to compile this list. However, with every ranking, comes some subjectiveness, unless of course, you’re the BCS, so feel free to disagree or argue with me about my logic.

In each post, I will list the player’s height, weight, what hands he uses to bat and throw, the college he attended, his birth date, as well as how he was acquired. Then, I will post analysis on the player, as well as stats and video if needed.

These posts will be published every MONDAY, WEDNESDAY, and FRIDAY at 2 p.m. until the series is finished. Check back on Wednesday for the eleventh and twelfth best prospects in the system.

About Connor O'Brien
I'm a 16 year-old blogger, high school student, and lifelong Mets fan. I've been blogging about the Mets in some form or another for about four years. I embrace the new age, sabermetric way of thinking, but also recognize the importance of scouting and player devlopment.
