Tonight’s Talking points:
- Jose Reyes will start his rehab on Thursday and will likely rejoin the Mets for the series against the Marlins on Monday.
- Dillon Gee was awful last night, allowing eight runs in 3.2 innings against the Phillies. His ERA this month 7.97.
My Take:
- Reyes: Take it slow, Jose. If you know what’s best for you, you will take your time and prove to the world that you are healthy in September.
- Gee: Just a rookie slump. I was concerned about his six walks, which tied a career high. I believe he will be fine, though. This almost certainly blows his chance for Rookie of the Year, though.
