Buster Olney tweeted this earlier about Carlos Beltran:
Is trading Beltran really going to be worth it? It’s not a trade that will save the Mets a ton of money because they would have to eat the majority of the $9 million or so still owed to him, and they probably won’t get any decent prospects in return either. Why not keep him this season and hope for a miracle? If the Mets are 5 to 10 games over .500 at the trade deadline, there is no reason to trade Beltran.
