In last night’s 5-2 win, which you ca read about on Mets Blog, ESPN New York, and Metsmerized Online, Scott Hairston hit a pinch-hit ninth inning solo home run to put the Mets ahead last night 3-2. The home run was hit off of Giants closer Brian Wilson.Wilson ended up getting the loss as the Mets won 5-2. Hairston is hitting just .247 in 91 at-bats with four home runs and thirteen RBI. He is hitting just .231 since June 16, but came up big last night. According to Adam Rubin of ESPN New York, Hairston has as many go ahead home runs in the ninth inning or later since 2007 as Albert Pujols.
