Notes: The game was decided on a Freddie Freeman walk-off single that broke the 8-8 tie in the bottom of the ninth. Jair Jurrjens started for the Braves and struggles while Tom Gorzelanny left after two innings for the Nationals.

Marlins 7, Cubs 5

Notable performances:

Notes: The Marlins and Cubs were enck and neck for most of te game until the MArlins jumped ahead in the eighth with three runs on two singles and a walk that scored a run as the Marlins went on to win 7-5 with Leo Nunez collecting his 26th save of the season.
