Last night, going for the four game sweep the Mets (45-43) lost to the Dodgers 6-0 at Dodgers Stadium. Dillon Gee took the mound for the Mets to start the game against Dodger ace Clayton Kershaw.

Notable performances:

Dillon Gee- L (8-3,) six runs, five earned runs, five hits, one walk, two strikeouts

Angel Pagan- 2-5, SB

Daniel Murphy- 2-4, a throwing error

Notes:

Clayton Kershaw (9-4, 3.03) shut down the Mets last night, tossing eight scoreless innings and recording his 9th win of the season. Dillon Gee didn’t struggle as much as the box score said. He only really had one bad inning, giving up five hits in the bottom of the sixth. The same thing happened in his last start against the Yankees over the weekend. If he didn’t have those two bad innings, he might have nine or ten wins.
